The online "Rapattoni" version of the MLS is a
great tool for both agents and investors. Unfortunately, while it is
great at mining for listing information, it leaves a lot to be desired
when it comes to letting you
work with the information in a digital format. MLSExpired is designed
to bridge that gap.
Once an agent sets up a automated job to email the expired listings
from Rapattoni, you can take the link from the email and plug it into
the MLSExpired utility and the addresses will
automatically be extracted for you. The utility allows you to copy the
text containing the comma-separated addressed to the clipboard, and
from there you can paste into a database (such as Microsoft Access) or
a spreadsheet (such as Microsoft Excel). Once the list is generated,
you can do other things with it, such as a mail merge to do mailings.
The MLSExpired utility also includes a Browser tab, so you can see the results as well as the extracted addresses.
Note: You must have a real estate agent set this up for you. The
information is free, but access to the MLS data is restricted unless
the agent sets up an automated job for you.
